Performance Arts UAL Level 2
Today we will start a new experience in our lives, an experience that will fill our knowledge and will give us skills for get a better development in our future, each person is unknown for me but i know this will change with the time.
I will start to make a resume about all week, what we did, what i learn and how i feel about every experience that i will get every week.
From September 12th until 16th we start the new year in the level 2 performance art.
1- At the beginning in production (the first class) the teacher started to introduce us to the college, how it works, where are our classrooms then we start to speak about production, look videos and look all details about them and we start to write our week in our blog.
- We did a conversation where we talked about what is production.
- We got videos and we had to look for the details between each other
-We started to to make our blog writing down what we did in all week.
2- In acting class we start to make exercise voice,improvisation,talk about our skills,imagination, team work, interpretation, confident and more.
-We did a small performance creating a short story.
-We did exercise voice using different kind of words this for make clear our pronunciation and get more skills when we will be in front of a public.
-As a team we had to create a story about whatever, using a music as a soundtrack.
-Using one line that each student elected we had to create a conversation and performance,
3- In the performance class (body movements) we had been doing kind of exercises for the body and kind of music with our hands, this working as a team.
-We wrote down what we shouldn't do in the classroom.
-We did a exercise take out the nervous we had and for warm muscles.
- We did music using applause and making sound while another group is dancing our rhythm with.
4- In math we started to review the basic skills about math, then we started to make exercises about them.
-We review the 4 basic skills in math Addition, substation, multiply and division.
-We did a review in factor, prime number, multiplies.
5- In English we were answering questions that we got in the board
-We had questions we had to choose one of them, i elected all and i answer one by one.

From September 19th until 23th we start the new year in the level 2 performance art.
1-In production we saw an interesting class where we talk about the responsibilities that everyone is en charge for.
-Roles and responsibilities in a production
-We spoke about story created for the class getting ideas from them, we put in practice:
Improvisation, interpretation, imagination, articulation, confident, discipline and more.
-We did improvisation about small words we got from the teacher, in a small group of 4 with each body we had to create simple things like: tables, cars, haystack and bridge.
-We did exercises for improvisation and be focus in what we do, we got so much funny doing a game consisting in take someone out the classroom and and the rest of the team inside choose who famous person is it, then we had to say ideas to the chosen and it had to guess who is it, we did improvisation game it consist in 2 people will start sentences in alphabetical order with an environment elected for the team.
-In the theater we did an exercise, it consist in start a conversation with the last word of the sentences that the firs person had said, example:
-Josh: Hey, how are you?
-Lee: Uncle! i'm ok thanks for that
-Josh: The same for you thanks for ask.
-Lee: kisses, see you!
-We did a focus exercise in which it consisted of sitting on a chair with someone in front of you sitting as well, we had to talk each other and try to get the attention from the another person and at the same time understand what it was saying.
-We had been doing during the class time exercises voice, they consist in say different words for get the right pronunciation and voice tone.
-We did concentration game where we had to close our eyes and someone had to elect one person called killer, the killer had to kill someone and we were aware about who was killed, after we opened the eyes we had to discovery who was it.
3- In the performance class (body movements) we continue with the last class however we learned a new movements with music as a soundtrack.
-We wrote down what is warm up.
-We danced slowly following the music as a soundtrack.
-Crate music using applause and dance with the rhythm made for it.
4- In math we had been learning about the basic skills needed in it.
For all of the following points we did many simple exercise getting the help from the teacher if we required.
-Subtraction:
-Additions.
-Multiply.
-division.
-How multiply the sing negative and positive if we have the 4 different basics skills in math.

From September 26th to 30th we start the new year in the level 2 performance art.
1-In production classes we were watching videos about responsibilities that everyone have to develop soon. My responsibility is Stage management.
Stage management is the person in charge to coordinate and organize a theatrical production, it coordinates lights, sets, sounds, dresses, rehearsal, schedule, details making the sets, distributing the information all of the departments, be aware about scripts, movement, acting, make sure about team's wellness and more responsibilities.
Identity Project
Since the moment i decided to join to the WKC my targets were and are can learn something new, can be around of the word i love, learn about acting, how develop my skills for my future, increase confident in myself, get experience handling what i do, fulfill my responsibilities at 100%.

The teacher gave us 3 title and in 3 groups we had to create an small moment where we use the title, our was 2 "Why can't i do this?
We created a moments where there are 2 boys, they are training in a gym then 2 girls come in and want to get in the gym but this guys say that the can't because this is only for men the girls don't give up and get in, the guys put them some challenger thinking the won't be able to do it but the girls are even stronger than they, finding joining to the gym.
During the week we had been rehearsing about the new project using sheets of paper we had to write in some expressions like about what we are doing in this case "The gym" and when we had to act use them for give the idea for the body.
2- We have a new project in production classes, the first day we watched a video about Britney Spears, we had some questions in a sheet for answer them, we must to pay attention to the video because all of the details about them were there.
In production we had been doing our project about the artist that we choose for our projects.
On Monday we didn't have a normal class, the team for the short film "The GYM" we were at the gym recording the last scenes of it, having a really good time and enjoying it so much, we did many scenes of the same shoot for take different angles, the media team and the professor did an good job with us.
On Thursday we were at the classroom rehearsing about our silent movies, then we went to meet the musician at the music studio we started to act for them they follow us with music, we did this because they are going to create the movies's soundtracks.
In production we have been working in our blogs and poster of our artist chosen, we had to choose a picture from internet and make a poster where you do some information about the artist in our case Beyoncé .
From November 28th to 2nd December
In the performance class (body movements) we had a funny class, at the beginning we did the warming up:

Basically we are working in details at the set how to make and scene as natural as possible, how to stand, talk and walk in front the public, and the improvisation.
3- In the performance class (body movements) we did a amazing classes where we dance with music as a soundtrack, we had to choose someone and dance with it, then with someone else we had to start to follow it and do the same than it, we thought about any famous character and imitate it.
4- In math we had been learning about equations:
-We were developing some exercises using addition, subtraction, multiply and division.
We got 3 homework where we can put on practice what we have learned in math class.
-We did a special game, it consisted in 2 groups (blue and red) we got operations in the board and we had to calculate and answer then when the teacher give us the opportunity to say what we got.

from October 3rd to 7th at the level 2 performance art.
4- In math we had been learning about equations:

We got 3 homework where we can put on practice what we have learned in math class.
-We did a special game, it consisted in 2 groups (blue and red) we got operations in the board and we had to calculate and answer then when the teacher give us the opportunity to say what we got.

from October 3rd to 7th at the level 2 performance art.
1-In production classes we did a deep conversation talking about the culture that each person could have, we talk about what we have to do as a citizen if we want to keep the respect between the people, we did:
-We got 8 different people at the board, as a group we had to delete 2 people just looking how they looked, we had to take out 2 people for the name, we delete 2 people more for them sexuality and finally we got the answer at the board, the point was keep deleting people for guess who was an engineer.
-We were got some political options at the boar, as a group of 3 we had to choose which options we thinks should run on the system politic and social for example:
-Should the people vote since 16 years old?
-do you think a people have to get the death penalty?
We continuous the working on our essay on Friday.
2- In the acting class we had been rehearsing about our improvisation made by ourselves, we have been fixing details, adding new things and taking out what we don't need, we had been practicing the motto that we have to say to the public at the end of the play "I am human non the less" we can say in different languages.

from October 10th to 14th at the level 2 performance art.
1- In production classes we had been talking about the types of violence we can find since physical, psychological, bullying and more. We did a discussion where everyone has to give it opinion and identify which kind of violence at the board.
-2 Performance arts:
We had been practicing for our performance which finally has arrived, on Friday we did our play for members of the college, Identity play, it was amazing all the team we were practicing so much for this, we did and gave the best for the public and i think we got it, we watched singers plays as well and in my opinion all of each were incredible with amazing voices they did the best.
We had been practicing a part of our play, with the teacher we rehearsed how to make better and beautiful movements when we'll be playing.

During this time we had been having issues, What is identity? What is the production? and some Political phases.
I was trying the do them as well as possible at the beginning was quiet hard for me understand the people but now i am getting it easier. The strengths as a team are the following:
1- We can improvise each other.
2-There are a good connection between all of us.
3-There is a big talent.
4-We are helpful.
-Weaknesses:
1-Many people are not on time.
2-Sometime people are disturbing the classes.
3-Some people doesn't take it seriously
I am personally like to be responsable with what i do, i have talent developing, i do my best and i always listen other and i am friendly and respectful.
Sometimes fore me is hard can understand what the people say because i am learning this language, i am a little distracted and sometimes i took a lot of time for do the blog on time.
For me the play had been really good, we were quiet focus in what we did trying do a good interpretation however the engagement was not the best because some people arrived late or did not come and when the practices some did not take seriously, i think the audience liked the play cause after the play me and many of the team got congratulation from members of the audience, in technical aspects i can say that everything was very organize and clean and we did what we expected that day.

from November 3rd to 11th at the level 2 performance art.
-2 Performance arts:
"Silent film"
The new project that our teacher brought is call "Silent film".
What is silent film?
Is a an acting performance based in do only movement, no script inside, basically the actor has to show a clear idea just using the physical language body.
First starting to do any class we always do warming up using physical and imagination exercises.
We always start doing exercises for ours joints, then we do kind of exercises for the concentrate for example:
-We imagined that we got a tube in our hands and slowly we had to change the positions of it, we did this for work on important things like concentration and imagination to get in in some kind of acting.
-We do a circle, using music as a soundtrack every one has to do a different movement and each person has to imitate, we do this for make a body warming.
At performing arts we started with this project watching a silent video for start developing our knowledge about it also for be aware what we have to do during this period, the videos were Nosferatu and Charlie Chaplin.

2-We were 2 painter persons, one of them is distracted on the phone and make a mistake using the wrong color for the wall, here we did sound by ourselves.

From November 14th to 18th
On Monday the one of the team ready for start making the short silent film we were to the gym, there with the media team and the acting teacher Rob we started to film doing some shooting of each scenes, we will be continuing recording it next Monday.

In this performance my partner and me we did and small speech where we are 2 friends one of them will make a party house in the another friend's house but he doesn't know anything about it, when he discovery he will be very angry.
The next script is a bit bigger in that is basically about 2 persons one of them is tying to invite the other one to do something.
In our play we did about two guys one of them wants to smoke and started inviting his friend to smoke when the friend reacts very angry because his dad is dead because the cigarette.

From November 21th to 25th
This week in performance arts we had been practicing about our silent movie, doing exercises we are getting confident in we are doing.
On Monday we didn't have a normal class, the team for the short film "The GYM" we were at the gym recording the last scenes of it, having a really good time and enjoying it so much, we did many scenes of the same shoot for take different angles, the media team and the professor did an good job with us.
On Tuesday we did when we got to the classroom we had 2 chairs in front of each other, we had to take someone with us and choose a word A or B, we had to talk about what we did in the morning at home, after that we changed the person, when we finished on a team we had to act for the class but we did in silent, just body movement, after this the the actors for the film "The GYM" we met at the gym for record the last scene of the movie.
On Thursday we were at the classroom rehearsing about our silent movies, then we went to meet the musician at the music studio we started to act for them they follow us with music, we did this because they are going to create the movies's soundtracks.
On Friday we were at the classroom doing exercises for work in our imagination, the game consisted in be in a group of 4, the teacher gave us a country or movie and we had to create something from the with physical poses body, example:
-Australia, we did kangaroo etc.
-Spain, we did a bull or woman dancing "Flamenco".
-Avatar, we did did someone on the floor.
The last thing we did was make a movie of our own mind and the teacher had to guess which it was.
-We did The jungle book.

From November 28th to 2nd December
-At production class we had been caring about our blogs, making a resume about every detail we did at the class being focus transcribing all our ideas, we continuous doing our posters and adding or taking out stuff.
In the performance class (body movements) we had a funny class, at the beginning we did the warming up:
We had some 8 orders to follow at the board, for example the number 1 was walk, 2 run, 3 stop etc.
the teacher started telling us numbers and we did around 15 minutes, after that we did some dancing movement at the floor, then the teacher teach us a new dancing movement and she put music ate the studio, we did a group and withe the new movement me had to add a different style dancing we did basketball one.
At performance class we did a lot of new games and staff for:
-On Tuesday we did started doing an exercise movement for warming up, after this the teacher gave us some white paper for write any sentence in it, we had to tell him an emotion and an environment this was for make a game at the end of the class.
We did an exercise consisting in have to actors acting the had to say everything but they can't say no,
did a running acting where the other guy put his foot in front of me making me fall down and another one where i am a stupid guy who destroy everything i touch.
The last game consisted in with a friend take any paper,emotion and environmental and started acting with the other but they didn't know the sentences got between each other.
With this exercise we develop:
-Imagination
-focus
-Interpretation
-Work on team
- improvisation
On Thursday we did improvisation class,
we start imagining we were in an museum and there there were 6 people 3 were from the public, 2 were spy and 1 was police, the police had to look for the spies and the spies had to look for each other but nobody knew who was who.
Then we got card with number from 1 to 8, the number 1 means poor and the 8 very rich, we were in a party and and every one had to act with it social status, nobody knew who was who, the the persons who were no acting had to organize the people for the status they though they were.
On Friday we had a really enthusiastic class it consisted in take a couple and be in front of it, then we had to walk toward it and give a handshake, we did this around 4 times and the we had to do it with our close, we did it twice.
After that in a couple we did many plays where the teacher gave us a sentence and we had to use it but in each of them we had to change the person who we were acting with.
1-You again? i find a friend who we don't like each other.
2-Here? We did a play where i took my girlfriend to a cheap restaurant and she complains about.
3-Mum said what? I was dad of two girls, they want to go to a party, and i don't want because what the mum says.
4-why did you leave? I was a teacher in a school and one of my students leave.
5-I love you, i find my girlfriend with another boy, when i left her alone she say..
In my opinion this are very interesting kind of play, i found them very easy and good for improve our improvisation, imagination, interpretation, focus, skills and more.
-On Tuesday 6th we went to watched a Peter Pan play, the play was amazing, the stage was good planned and the actors did an amazing job, the 3 main roles did an beautiful job and the following people were amazing too.
What i like the most was when they were fighting because although they didn't do an 100% real rude one they did an innocent one and i really liked the way they did it.
The way they organised the stage was simple but lovely and the used all of the clearly, my favorites characters were hook and Tinkerbell,
In general everything the acting, singing, stages, dialogues were quiet well i liked it.

From November 10th to 13th
A new week had started with a new projects in all of our units.
Tuesday.
In Production class we finish our posters made with Beyonce as a star, we also talk about the costume we think must to change to change in any video of the singer.
The Dumb Waiter.
The dumb waiter is our new project at performance arts, at the class we were doing some practice with our pair where we were doing it around 10 minutes i play Ben my part on the script is:
Ben. Anyway, there's no time. we've got to get straight back.
Gus. Well, we have done in the past, haven't we? stayed over and watched a game, haven't we? for a bit of relaxation.
Ben. Things tightened up, mate, they've tightened up.
And more.....
We did the practice many time until the teacher started doing the review of each pair giving to everyone some advise to improve and play the character more realistic, some of that advises were:
1-Listen the other person.
2-Take the time for.
3- feel more annoyed and be more annoy (depends of the character)
4-Look the different character of it to have some of it.
On Thursday we went to the theater we sat down and we waited for level 1 and 3 to start them new plays.
1-The people were in a room, apparently they were locked there and the started to fight each other when anyone was dead that person disappeared from the room, at the end of it seemed to be a tangle of situations.
2-This play was about a murder where there were many suspect, the some people at the play the showed suspect and some were normal, at the end of the play the actors asked to the audience who the could be the killer and we vote for the person we thought could be.
3- In this one there were many people acting as a robots because someone (bad one) worked on their minds, the people did everything that the main head said but there was a guy who was different to the other people he could talk, think, and realize that something was wrong.
In my opinion all the plays were fine, good develop of the stories and nice fit with the public however, i didn't trust some character's people and the voices of some actors were not enough to hear in the back.
We did some games with the actors, plays which helped us to join the people there.
1-we close our eyes and with our pair we had to walk around the theater.
2- we sat down on the floor, the person in charge made some questions and we had to answered them when we thought nobody was about to do it.
3-we had to do a movie scene and the rest of the people could guess which it was.
We did more than 3.
On movement class we started doing warming up, we did the same kind of warming up we used to do it, the teacher gad written on the board what best means in dancing.

After that she taught us some new words which we'll use the in the future for our classes.
After this we we did a circle were we were practicing all of the movement we got on the board.
On production class we have been working in ours blogs moreover of work in our posters which are done already.

From January 30th to 3rd
-We finished our costume design for production lesson, in my one i did the change from Beyonce's video "All Night", in my opinion the dress that the singer is using is not comfortable at all, she cannot move 100% free and she needs to hold it a bit for walk.
More comfortable:
With this dress she will be able to walk without hold it.
Free movements:
She'll move and won't have problem to walk.
Distance:
The dress won't drag on the floor when she'll be walking.
-At Rob lesson we did practice our characters of The dumb Waiter.
In this picture we can have a look of the rehearsal between Carla and Mya, the are playing their characters, the teacher and students made comments about what the could improve or how good the did it.
Here all the class is involved, this is a new short play made by Rob, this one is about 2 police officers who're trying to catch people stealing, at the beginning the are confused however the can solve everything.
4-Look the different character of it to have some of it.
On Thursday we went to the theater we sat down and we waited for level 1 and 3 to start them new plays.
1-The people were in a room, apparently they were locked there and the started to fight each other when anyone was dead that person disappeared from the room, at the end of it seemed to be a tangle of situations.
2-This play was about a murder where there were many suspect, the some people at the play the showed suspect and some were normal, at the end of the play the actors asked to the audience who the could be the killer and we vote for the person we thought could be.
3- In this one there were many people acting as a robots because someone (bad one) worked on their minds, the people did everything that the main head said but there was a guy who was different to the other people he could talk, think, and realize that something was wrong.
In my opinion all the plays were fine, good develop of the stories and nice fit with the public however, i didn't trust some character's people and the voices of some actors were not enough to hear in the back.
We did some games with the actors, plays which helped us to join the people there.
1-we close our eyes and with our pair we had to walk around the theater.
2- we sat down on the floor, the person in charge made some questions and we had to answered them when we thought nobody was about to do it.
3-we had to do a movie scene and the rest of the people could guess which it was.
We did more than 3.
On movement class we started doing warming up, we did the same kind of warming up we used to do it, the teacher gad written on the board what best means in dancing.

After that she taught us some new words which we'll use the in the future for our classes.
After this we we did a circle were we were practicing all of the movement we got on the board.
On production class we have been working in ours blogs moreover of work in our posters which are done already.

From January 30th to 3rd
-We finished our costume design for production lesson, in my one i did the change from Beyonce's video "All Night", in my opinion the dress that the singer is using is not comfortable at all, she cannot move 100% free and she needs to hold it a bit for walk.
More comfortable:
With this dress she will be able to walk without hold it.
Free movements:
She'll move and won't have problem to walk.
Distance:
The dress won't drag on the floor when she'll be walking.
-At Rob lesson we did practice our characters of The dumb Waiter.
In this picture we can have a look of the rehearsal between Carla and Mya, the are playing their characters, the teacher and students made comments about what the could improve or how good the did it.
